                  | Hi, Steve Manners and Andy Johnson here!
The past year has been a great time for the UKFORUMs group. We have been running the Summer BBQ and the Christmas Meet for many years now, and in 2000 both events were bigger and better than ever, with record numbers of members attending. It was especially pleasing to see so many new faces coming along. We are now looking forward to seeing you at the July 2001 BBQ. Full details will be posted nearer the time.
We've welcomed many new members into the Forums and with CompuServe expanding and promoting the service we hope that many more will join in the coming year. If you are seeking to make some new friends online, looking for some useful information, or just need a place to relax, you'll find the UKFORUMs the place to be.
                    Have a great 2001!
                    Steve and

Professionals Discuss Routine DNA Testing |

It has been reported that a dangerous rapist was caught after stealing a bottle of whisky, being 'routinely' DNA-tested, and then having his DNA pattern cross-matched. After hearing this, a forum member asks:

                      - How close to routine can this be?

                      - Is every petty thief DNA-recorded?

                      - If I forget to pay my TV licence, will I be cross-checked to see if I've been involved in serious crime?
