The
annual UK FORUMs Christmas meet and meal took place this
past Sunday (3-Dec-2000) at the Sportsman Hotel in
Chorleywood. This edition of the newsletter is devoted to a
report of the meet including pictures.
The
picture on the left shows just some of the folks enjoying
their Christmas meal. This year, we had a record attendance
of more than 90 people. Will you be there next year?
Delightful
background music for the meal was performed by harpist, Susie Willison.
For
both children and adults, Santa
paid us a visit, after the meal, to find out our Christmas wishes. Have you
been good this year?
Once
again, the celebrity actor Lew Lewis conducted the draw for
the raffle. Why don't I ever win the best prize on the
table? <g>
We
had the distinct honour of having Chris Davey in attendance.
Here he is signing copies of his new book, The
Aviator's Apprentice.
At
the end of the day, we retired to the hotel bar and were
entertained by the barber shop quartet from the Walbrook Singers.
It was another great meet and we hope to see you next year!
